Drug Fraud Case Eyed By Authorities
Law enforcement officials were asked to investigate when medical personnel discovered last week that a patient had obtained several duplicate prescriptions from different physicians.
Employees at The Pain Center on Pulaski Street reported the matter to Lawrenceburg Police officers on Friday.
They indicated that records revealed the Leoma resident had obtained nine different prescriptions from five different doctors during an eleven week period. All of the prescriptions, they said, were for the drugs Lortab and Percocet.
Investigation into the matter is on-going at the present time.
