Authorities will seek murder charge in January death

Authorities indicate that the death of a Lawrence County resident that occurred in January has been ruled a homicide.
The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has been investigating the January 27 death of sixty-year-old Glenda Gail Buie who passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.
Following her death, her body was dispatched for autopsy. Captain Adam Brewer with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that the autopsy indicated she had died as the result of homicide, by strangulation.
He said the department, along with the District Attorney's office will be presenting evidence to a Lawrence County Grand Jury, seeking an indictment for first degree murder against Buie's son, thirty-six year old Kip Dylane Buie.
