Cows Graze In Neighbor’s Garden
When a resident of James Road in Ethridge went to check her garden last week, she found that her neighbor’s cows were grazing there.
Sheriff’s deputies went to the home around 10:30 a.m. The resident indicated she had found earlier that two large cows were eating the plants in her garden. She said that she banged two lids together and successfully ran them off her property.
While deputies were there, they reported two calves were roaming about freely.
Deputies noted a large hole in the fence surrounding the cows’ pasture. The same hole had been noted the previous day when deputies answered a similar call.
Residents of the area reported this was an “on-going” problem.
