Authorities Investigating Thefts By Employee
A criminal investigation was begun after officials with Walmart reported that an employee had been caught on video stealing money on three different occasions.
Store Loss Prevention officers asked officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department to review security video showing the three crimes. They reported that on June 12, 13, and 20 the same male employee stole money.
On each occasion, officers report that the employee took money from his cash register, placed it in a change bag, then placed the money beside the receipt printer before finally pocketing it.
During each of the first two incidents the employee reportedly stole $200, followed by $300 during the third incident. Loss altogether was said to be $700.
At the time reports were filed prosecution was pending against the twenty-one year old.
