A resident of Fairview Road in Loretto reported to deputies on Sunday that someone had shot the windshield out of his 1994 Chevrolet 1500 truck while it was parked on his property. He estimated damages to be $200.

Burglary

A gas generator and Stihl chainsaw were reported stolen from a Cumberland Drive, Summertown home on Saturday. Deputies reported that a window screen had been cut and removed, the window frame had been pried, and the glass had been broken from the back door. The resident said that a portion of a fence had been cut on the property and that the culprit might have gained access from that location. Losses were estimated to total $1,325.

Burglary

A resident of Monument Road in Summertown reported Saturday that, following an auction on his property, several items had gone missing. The victim suspects that someone attending the auction might have used the opportunity to scope out the property, then returned later to commit the crime. Loss totaled around $20,000.

Theft

Scrap metal, engines and parts were items targeted at a shop in Summertown. The owner reported a scrap lawnmower, chainsaw engines, and various parts had been stolen from metal tubs sitting outside the shop. Two customers reported seeing a silver/gray mid-size car at the shop. One customer noticed a man bent over one of the tubs on Friday. The other said that he saw the car pulling away from the shop around 7:00 a.m. Saturday. The owner estimated his loss at $200.

Theft

A Lawrenceburg man reported items had been stolen from his truck while it was parked at a Mattoxtown Road bar overnight Friday. The victim said that he had left it there because the battery was dead, and that he had been unable to secure the locks due to a problem with the key. When he returned he said a blue, 20 foot, fiberglass stepladder had been taken from the truck bed. A saw, two batteries and charger were taken from the cab area. Loss totaled around $400.
