Deputy Reports Dog Had No Food Or Water
A Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy dispatched Wednesday on a complaint that a dog at a Summertown home was not being cared for properly, found that the dog was without food or water.
The deputy reports he made his way to the home, located at 943 Turnpike, Summertown, at 11:15 Wednesday morning. He indicates that the dog appeared to be very malnourished and had no food or water available.
The deputy took photos of the animal. He reports that he attempted to make contact with the owner, but could get no one to the door.
Investigation into the animal cruelty complaint is on-going at the present time.
