No Injuries Result From Lunchtime Mishap
No injuries were reported when a vehicle ran through windows at Rick’s Barbeque in Ethridge Monday, ending up inside the building.
Acting Ethridge Police Chief Willie Norwood indicates that the accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. when an elderly couple headed to the business for lunch.
While pulling into a parking space at the front of the store, the driver, age 77, reportedly stepped on the gas pedal instead of his brake, causing the car to crash through the windows and into the store.
