Leaders Finalize Annexation Of Shoal Cove

   Lawrenceburg leaders have given final approval to the annexation of a subdivision situated off Glenn Springs Road.

   Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Commissioners approved the annexation on second and final reading during a business meeting held Thursday. It was undertaken at the request of the developer, Shoal Development Group, LLC.

   In addition, the panel approved a plan of services for the area, outlining the services the city will provide to residents of the subdivision, as well as when residents may expect those services to become available.

   Under the plan, services to be provided immediately include: 

*Police patrol, response to calls and other routine police services

*Fire protection

*Water for domestic use from existing city lines will be provided on effective date of annexation, and thereafter from new lines as deemed necessary.

*Street name signs where needed will be installed.

*Residents may use all city recreational facilities, parks, ball fields, etc.

*Residents will be provided natural gas service.

   Services to be provided in the future include:

*Traffic signals, traffic signs, street markings and other traffic control devices will be installed as the need is established.

*Emergency maintenance of streets will begin after street construction has been completed by developer and accepted as built to city standards.

*Routine street maintenance will commence when state shared street aid funds begin to be received.

*Refuse collection, as provided elsewhere in the city, will commence within one month.

*Street lights will be installed in substantially developed commercial and residential areas within twenty-four months.

*Necessary wastewater interceptor and sewer lines will be completed at the developers’ cost within ten years.
