Lawrenceburg Now

A witness was able to provide law enforcement officers with a good description of a man seen burglarizing a coworker’s vehicle during the weekend.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers were dispatched to Pizza Hut on North Locust Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. The victim, age 28, explained that someone had burglarized her 2002 Toyota Avalon.

She said that she had left the car unlocked with her purse in the console. When a coworker informed her that someone had been in her car, she checked and discovered that $120 in cash had been stolen out of her purse.

The coworker spoke to officers, saying that the man was a white male who was around 6’2” tall and weighed around 180 pounds. He had brown hair that was buzzed on the sides and medium length on the top.

She said he had piercing blue eyes and was wearing carbo shorts and a muscle shirt. He reportedly got into a small, black Toyota truck with a silver toolbox on back and left the area.

Anyone who has information that could assist the investigation should contact the Lawrenceburg Police Department at 931-762-2276.
