Victim reports theft while he was shopping

Authorities are investigating a theft that occurred while the victim was shopping at a Lawrenceburg business late last week.

The victim reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers that he had been shopping inside Walmart on North Locust Avenue at around 10:30 Friday morning. When he returned to his 1992 Chevrolet C1500 truck, he discovered that someone had stolen his spare tire and wheel from the bed of the truck.

Loss in the case was estimated to be $100. The case remains under investigation at the present time.
