County Commission To Consider Confirmation Of Ambulance Service Director

Members of the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners will consider confirming a new director of the county’s ambulance service this week.

Lawrence County Executive Paul Rosson has announced that Scott Storey will be his nominee for director of the Lawrence County Ambulance Service.  Rosson will ask the county commission to confirm Storey’s appointment during a special session on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Courthouse.

Rosson said the recommendation of a new director is part of a plan to restructure the ambulance service in an effort to make the operation more efficient and cost effective. “Our goal is to provide excellent patient care and customer service,” Rosson said.

Storey is currently employed by the Rutherford County EMS as Critical Care Transport Director.  If confirmed, Storey would begin employment in mid-July.
