 Information Sought In Tuesday Morning Hit And Run Death

   Law enforcement officials who worked throughout the morning Tuesday at the site of a hit and run incident that resulted in the death of a Leoma man, are seeking information from the public in an effort to resolve the investigation.

   A motorist placed a call around 4:30 a.m., notifying the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that a body was lying beside the roadway on Fall River Road, approximately two miles south of the U.S. Highway 43 intersection.

   Officials determined that the victim, Joshua Stuart Wiseman, 40, of Leoma, had been struck by a vehicle, possibly between the hours of 1:00 and 4:30 a.m.

The investigation was subsequently relinquished to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Critical Incident Response Team and Criminal Investigations Division.

   A press release was issued Tuesday afternoon in which officials request that anyone who might have information regarding the incident, come forward.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has any pertinent information, or who may have been traveling in the vicinity is urged to contact the THP Lawrenceburg District at 766-1464 or the sheriff’s department at 762-3646.
