Traffic Stop Yields Meth Charges

   A traffic stop conducted by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies Thursday has resulted in drug charges being placed against a Leoma resident

   Reports filed through the department indicate that deputies conducted the traffic stop on George Katevas, 39, of 112 Horseshoe Bend Road, Leoma. During the stop, deputies reported noticing items of contraband inside the vehicle.

   Deputies report seizing some of the components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. As a result, Katevas was placed under arrest on charges that include promotion of the methamphetamine manufacturing and manufacture of methamphetamine. He was transported to the Lawrence County Jail without incident.
