Woman Steals Ring While Putting Lotion On Victim’s Hands
A Lawrenceburg man filed a complaint with law enforcement officials on Wednesday, indicating that a woman inside his home had stolen his wife’s rings while putting lotion on her hands.
The complainant, age 85, reported to officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that the crime had occurred inside his Parkes Avenue home. He reported that an acquaintance had stolen his wife’s two-karat diamond engagement ring and wedding band, valued at $6,500.
The victim’s caregiver told officers that she had noticed the acquaintance putting lotion on the victim’s hands. She said after she left the house she noticed that the victim’s rings were no longer on her hands. They were unable to locate them.
Investigation into the matter is currently being conducted by detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
