Lawrenceburg Man Involved In Amish Accident In April In Court

A Lawrenceburg man facing charges in an April car accident involving an Amish buggy will be in court October 9th.

33 year old Christopher Bottoms has been charged with several offenses including vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and driving on a revoked license stemming from an April 23nd incident.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Bottoms was driving a truck west bound on Ethridge-Redhill Road when he crossed into the eastbound lane in a curve and struck a buggy driven by Orla Mast.

Mast was ejected from the buggy and sustained serious injuries.

Bottoms' attorney was in General Sessions Court Friday to schedule a preliminary hearing as a special prosecuter must be brought in for District Attorney Mike Bottom's office.

Josh Markum of the 21st District Williamson County Prosdecutor's office has been assigned to try the case.
