Man tragically drowns in Tennessee River.

 

The Humphreys County Sheriff's office reported that Multiple agencies responded to assist in search efforts for a man who jumped in the water and never resurfaced.

Jason Hoilman who was not wearing a life jacket had jumped into the water to retrieve a family boat that had drifted away from the dock when he called out for help before going under the water.

Members of the Tennessee City Volunteer Fire Department, Humphreys County deputies, emergency responders, TWRA , and even civilians assisted in a water rescue on Lakefront Road at around 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hoilman's body was later located and recovered.
