Burglars Caught On Surveillance Video

Burglars who targeted a west Lawrence market last weekend were caught on video surveillance committing the crime.

Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that deputies were dispatched to Brazier’s One Stop, 21 Shotwell Road, at 4:07 a.m. Monday. Owner Steven Brazier reported he had arrived to open the store and discovered someone had busted the glass from the front door.

Deputies report finding three rocks lying on the floor. Also, a twelve-pack of Bud Light beer was found lying near the beer cooler.

A review of video surveillance showed two men had broken the glass, then entered the building. One grabbed a 12-pack and 18-pack of beer while the other grabbed an unknown amount of cigarettes and placed them inside a bag. Both then left the premises.

Brazier estimated loss and damages at $525.00.

Investigation into the matter has been turned over to detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
