Thief Makes Off With TV While Residents Sleep

   A criminal investigation was initiated early Thursday morning after a father and son awakened to find someone had broken into their home while they slept and made of with their television.

   The father, a seventy-two-year-old resident of 166 Waterloo Road reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies that he and his son were awakened around 4:00 a.m. by a noise in the area of their front door.

   The pair said they went to investigate and found that their TV was missing and that the front door was unlocked. They told deputies they believed the culprit had broken into their home while they slept.

   Loss as a result of the crime was estimated at $2,200. The matter remains under investigation at the current time.
