Alabama Crash Claims Life Of Lawrence Resident

   Authorities with the Alabama Highway Patrol report that a crash early Friday on Alabama Highway 64 claimed the life of a Lawrence County resident.

   The crash reportedly occurred around 5:30 a.m. approximately two miles west of Lextington.

   Reports indicate Thomas P. Scott, age 32, of St. Joseph, was traveling eastbound in a 1995 Infiniti when he collided head-on with a 2007 Mitsubishi truck driven by thirty-year-old Cory Scott Goode of Anderson, Alabama. Both sustained life-threatening injuries and, following extrication, were transported to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence.

    Scott died shortly after arriving at the facility. At last report Goode was listed in serious condition.
