Man Claims 911 Director Assaulted Him
A Lawrenceburg man was working to obtain a criminal summons Friday morning, claiming that Lawrence County E-911 Director Johnny Cheatwood had assaulted him during a board meeting.
The man filed a complaint through the Lawrenceburg Police Department Thursday evening, indicating that he had attended the E-911 Board meeting. During a discussion regarding an employee, the man claims that Cheatwood became angry, grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back. He claimed that a board member had to intervene to ensure his safety.
Officers reported that the man sought medical attention for injuries sustained in the incident.
The matter currently remains under investigation through the police department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
