Kemper Retires After 41 Years

On Monday, May 9th Regina Kemper, long time Summertown High School teacher and administrator, expressed her thanks to SHS students and faculty. Mrs. Kemper, who is retiring after 41 years of service at SHS treated the entire school to cake during lunch.

During her tenure at SHS Mrs. Kemper distinguished herself as a math teacher for thirty years. She served as assistant principal for ten years working with both students and teachers to strengthen SHS academically. This year, as graduation coach she has worked tirelessly to ensure that all seniors graduate.

Mrs. Kemper will be truly missed. No stranger to hard work, Mrs. Kemper is afraid to roll up her sleeves and tackle what ever job needs doing. Both the faculty and the student body view Mrs. Kemper’s departure with mixed emotions. Every person at SHS wishes her the best but realizes she can not be replaced.
