Lawrenceburg Board To Meet Thursday

   Members of the board that governs the City of Lawrenceburg will meet in regular session Thursday morning to consider a full agenda.

   Two ordinances appear on the agenda. Ordinance 1036, which seeks to “increase a bill of cost for computers,” will be considered on second and final reading.

   Ordinance 1037, up for first reading, requests that “Property known as Shoal Cove, located on Glenn Springs Road,” be annexed into the city limits “as requested by the Shoal Development Group, LLC.”

   At least six resolutions appear on the agenda. They are as follows:

   *A resolution for the Board of Mayor and Commissioners of the City of Lawrenceburg to re-appoint Ora Green and appoint Gala Glass to replace Mac Old on the Board of Zoning Appeals.

   *A resolution…to reappoint William “Bid” Lindsey as the City of Lawrenceburg representative on the Lawrence County Senior Citizens Board.

   *A resolution…to reappoint Julia R. Mills, Sarah K. Jones and William (Bill) Eledge to the Lawrenceburg/Lawrence County Library Board.

   *A resolution…to reappoint Mac Old to the Board of Public Utilities.

   *A resolution…to establish rules and regulations for participation in fund raising roadblock events within the City of Lawrenceburg.

   *A resolution…to purchase Omni Court software from Souther Automated Systems, Inc., to be used by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

   The meeting, which is open to the public, will get underway at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008, inside the commission meeting room at Lawrenceburg City Hall.
