Loretto High Graduate Drafted By Braves

Loretto High School graduate Mark Lamm was picked by the Atlanta Braves Organization during the 6th round during the Major League Baseball drafts which ended Wednesday.

Lawrenceburg Now spoke by phone with Mark Wednesday who is excited about this chance to work for the Braves.

Currently in Grad school at Vanderebilt University where he has played during his college career.

The Commodores are currently heading into the Super Regionals. They open the series on Friday night, June 10, at 7 p.m. while Saturday's game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. first pitch.

2011: Pitched one scoreless inning against Auburn 4/3... Earned his first save of the year pitching a season-best 2.1 innings at Auburn 4/2... Struck out one in his lone inning of relief work against UT-Martin 3/29... Allowed two hits and recorded one out at Arkansas 3/27... Gave up two hits in one scoreless frame against Tennessee Tech 3/22... Finished off the team's third straight shutout with two scoreless innings against Mississippi State 3/19... Allowed his first run of the year recording just one out and giving up two hits against UIC 3/12... Garnered his team-best fourth win of the year turning in two scoreless innings against Kennesaw State 3/9...
