Officials with the Lawrenceburg Beautification Board have announced that the fundraising events will be held Friday evening, and throughout the day Saturday.

The events will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday when candidate Greg Johnston will host a “Big Kahuna Dodge Ball Tourney.” The tournament will be held in the gymnasium at LCHS.

Candidate Jerry Jaco will host his first annual “RC Cola and Moon Pie Festival and Duck Race” Saturday at Lawrenceburg’s Veterans Park. The event will get underway at noon.

Candidate Jon Evans has planned a “Ribs and All the Fixings” dinner, slated to be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday behind Markus Insurance on West Gaines Street.

Candidate Ben Luna will be the guest emcee at a special Tennessee Valley Jamboree show, planned in memory of long-time member and coordinator Tommy Moore. Admission to the event, which will get underway at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Crockett Theater, is $5.00 at the door.

Monies raised by candidates of the Big Kahuna of the Century competition will help fund the LCHS Centennial Kick-Off Celebration set for July 3. For additional information you may call 762-7617.
