Thief Swipes Cornmeal, Kool-Aid

A Lawrenceburg resident reported to law enforcement officers Sunday that her home had been burglarized while she had been away.

According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers were sent to the Maple Avenue home around 2:00 Sunday afternoon to investigate the break-in.

The victim reported that she had left around 9:00 a.m. the previous Wednesday. She said she had returned to find her back door standing open.

Police officers report the door had been pried open and that two window screens had been damaged, as well. The only items that appeared to be missing were a bag of cornmeal and some Kool-Aid drink mix. Damages and loss were estimated to total $111.

The case currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
