Lawrence County Salute To Agriculture Week
Salute to Agriculture Week is scheduled for June 6th-12th. There are numerous agriculture related events and activities planned for the week.
The 2010 theme is: “100 Years Of Agriculture, Extension, and 4-H in Lawrence County”. The events will kick off on June 6th with the Lawrence County Advocate’s “Salute to Agriculture” paper insert that will be filled with lots of fun and educational articles and pictures of Lawrence County Agriculture.
On June 7th the UT/TSU Extension Office will host an “Open House” with several programs planned. On June 8th the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will host the a Lawrence County Farmer Appreciation Breakfast.
June 9th will be a day for the kids as the Lawrence County Extension Office and volunteers will conduct “Farm City Day” at Rotary Park. On Thursday, June 10th there will be a tour of Lawrence County Century Farms.
On Friday, June 11th Lawrence County 4-H Alumni will gather at the Lawrenceburg Town Square Gazebo and celebrate the 100 year Cen tennial of 4-H. The week will conclude on Saturday, June 12th with a Junior 4-H Meat Goat Show at the Rotary Park Livestock Barn.
