Annual SELETS Seminar Brings Lee Back To Lawrence

The 12th Annual Southeaster Law Enforcement Training Seminar (SELETS) which got underway today at the historic Crockett Theater will bring law enforcement officers from across the country to Lawrenceburg.

The focus for the 2008 seminar is prevention and preparation for surviving a school shooting. In addition to Lee, speakers will include former FBI agent Ray Eganey, School Resource Officer Training Coordinator Ron Kidd, Safety Expert and CNN contributor Joseph Ruffini and Technical Surveillance expert Don Kneece. In addition, a special question and answer panel will be moderated by nationally known security expert Herman Statum.

Participants will attend training sessions at the theater, as well as events at Rotary Park and a mock emergency drill at Lawrence County High School.
