Lawrenceburg Authorities Searching For Child Rapist
Local law enforcement officials have issued a request to the public to assist in the capture of a resident who has been indicted on charges of rape of a child.
Lawrenceburg Police Department Investigator Don Laws issued the request Tuesday afternoon, asking that anyone with knowledge regarding the whereabouts of Steven Daniel Higgins, age 21, contact authorities as quickly as possible.
Officials indicate that Higgins may be in the Lawrenceburg area, however he did make statements to investigators alluding to the fact that he might head toward Mobile, Alabama.
Higgins is described as a twenty-year-old white male, 5'5", weighing 142 pounds. His last known addresses are1602-A South Locust Avenue, Lawrenceburg, and 42 Copperas Branch Road, Leoma. He has been seen recently in the area of Smith Avenue.
