Officials identify victim of Sunday’s fatal crash

Additional information has been released regarding a traffic crash last Sunday that claimed the life of a Lawrenceburg man.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department indicate that the crash occurred at around 2:15 a.m. Christopher Myers, a fifty-six year old resident of 102 Campground Drive, was reportedly driving along East Gaines Street near Annie Rooney Road, at White Cliff Road, when he ran off the south side of the roadway. Myers’ vehicle then impacted a tree.

Personnel with the police department and Lawrenceburg Fire Department responded to the scene along with members of the Emergency Medical Service. Reports indicate that Myers was unresponsive when they arrived. He was extricated from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene by the local Medical Examiner.
