Armed robbery investigated at local market

On May 28, 2018, at approximately 7:00 PM, officers with the Saint Joseph Police Department responded to a robbery call at 4062 Highway 43 South, State Line Market.
The store owner stated a white male wearing a mask, ball cap, and gloves entered the store wielding a black gun demanding money. The clerk complied and gave the man the money from the register.
The suspect then struck the clerk in the neck with the gun knocking him down. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The suspect was a white male approximate 5’8” and maybe 200lbs.
The clerk noticed he had a tattoo on his left forearm. The matter is being investigated by the Saint Joseph Police Department and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
