Anne Morrow, Event Planner and Director of the Lawrenceburg Beautification Board, praised the board's selection of Courtney as this year's Festival Queen, "We are delighted to bestow this great honor on Miss Courtney Shelton this year. Courtney has been involved in our community in many different ways since she was in elementary school, and we are quite honored she has accepted our invitation to be the Queen of this year's Liberty Festival. As many of you know, this year's theme is "A Salute to the Great State of Georgia with a Civil War/Gone With The Wind theme". Coincidentally, Courtney is an ardent fan of Gone With The Wind and is also very interested in the Civil War. And, since we are saluting Georgia and we all know the Atlanta connection with Coca-Cola, it made perfect sense that we should honor a Coca-Cola Scholar during the festival."

"We hope everyone will attend Courtney's coronation ceremony on Saturday, June 27th on the Public Square - and we also hope everyone will attend as many of the activities during the Liberty Festival as possible. If you would like a complete schedule of events, please call 931-762-7617."
