A man tragically died after falling off a jet ski on Lake Wheeler.

Marine Patrol Troopers reported Jerome Marks, 56, of Huntsville passed away after falling off a jet ski near Talucah Landing on Lake Wheeler.

A witnesses stated that Marks was riding his jet ski without a life vest on the water when suddenly he was no longer visible.

Huntsville Emergency Crews Chief Operations officer Don Webster stated that witnesses pulled him from the water attempting CPR until paramedics arrived.

Marks was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, and currently the cause of death is still under investigation.
