Second Street To Be Closed For Construction

   The City of Lawrenceburg will be closing Second Street from North Locust to First Avenue beginning Monday, June 1 for construction activities related to the Lawrenceburg Flood Control Project. 

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and prepare to take alternate routes while construction is in progress.  The purpose of the closure is to relocate utilities and to construct a new box culvert bridge, which should be completed by August 1. 

Motorists should also continue to exercise caution when driving on First Street and First Avenue, where work will continue for the next few months.
