Ethridge PD makes drug arrest

On Friday, May 11, 2018 officers with the Ethridge Police Department stopped a 2000 Chevy Impala on Hwy 43 in Ethridge for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, Danny Arvil Brown, and a female passenger officers noticed suspected drug paraphernalia in plain view from the passenger side window.

Both subjects were removed from the vehicle and a search was conducted of both occupants and the vehicle. Found during the search was approximately 4.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The Impala that Brown was operating was also seized.

The female was released from the scene. Brown was arrested for possession of Schedule II narcotics for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.

Brown was transported to the Lawrence County Jail and booked without incident.
