Recent thefts under investigation
Lawrenceburg Now
Law enforcement officers are investigating several thefts that were reported through the Lawrenceburg Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department late last week.
Sheriff’s deputies were asked to look into the theft of license plates from two different vehicles. A plate was stolen off of a 1995 Chevrolet Z71 truck parked outside of a home on Jap Lane in Ethridge.
Also, a resident of Community Road in Lawrenceburg reported that the plate had been stolen from her 1995 Oldsmobile. In each incident loss was approximately $55.
In a separate case, police officers made contact with a Loretto resident who reported that someone had stolen her cell phone while she was unloading garbage at the landfill facility on Baler Drive. She estimated the value of the black LG flip phone at $80.
