Monday Crime Report
Theft
Deputies were called to a home on Iron City Road on Friday. The resident reported that his grandson had borrowed his Troybilt mini tiller under false pretenses on May 7. His granddaughter had found the tiller at a local pawn shop. The proprietor said that the grandson had brought it in on May 7 and pawned it for $30. Investigation in the case is on-going.
Vandalism
A resident of Glenview Drive in Summertown reported to deputies Saturday that he had returned to his home around 8:00 p.m. to find his bedroom window busted. Upon further inspection, the victim discovered there was a hole in the vinyl siding adjacent to the window. Deputies report it appeared that the home had been shot. Damages were estimated to total $500.
Vandalism
On Sunday an Ethridge resident requested that a deputy investigate on-going vandalism at her home. She reported that since November of 2012 someone has been periodically cutting her pit bulldog’s chain, allowing him to run free. The deputy reported that the chain appeared to have been cut with some type of tool. In addition, the victim said that the dog’s collar had been stolen on occasion. She estimated damages and loss to be $45.
