Veterans Cross Service Set For Memorial Day

The Lawrenceburg Beautification Board and Codes Department are hosting the City of Lawrenceburg's annual "Veterans Cross Service" on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th, at 6:00pm, inside the City Administration Building auditorium.

This year's special guest speaker is Colonel Arthur D. Graves, who is retired from the US Airforce where he served for 20 years. Colonel Graves received his commission from the Tuskegee Institute in 1949 and entered active service in 1951. He has also served as a teacher and successful business man. His teaching career includes 14 years at the University of North Alabama. 

Light refreshments will be served by the Buffalo River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Special patriotic music will be performed by Ms. Rose Jackson. After the service, a 21 gun salute will be performed by the VFW Post 1618 Honor Guard.   Mr. Ken Abercrombie will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. 

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
