The Summertown Eagles defeated the East Robertson Indians 10-0 (in 5 innings) in their Sub-State/Sectional game here Saturday night, punching their ticket to the Final 8, TSSAA "Spring Fling" Championships in Murfreesboro.

 

After 2 scoreless innings, the Eagles broke open the flood gates in the bottom of the third inning, as they plated 6 runs.   The inning was highlighted by Konner Ambrose's 3 RBI double with bases loaded.

The Eagles will open State Tournament play on Tuesday, May 21st at 6:30 PM versus Decatur County Riverside (the same tschool that SHS defeated in the State Championship in 2009).   

The game will be played at Middle Tennessee Christian School in Murfreesboro.
