Several items stolen from remodeling site

Lawrenceburg Now

A contractor from Hohenwald filed a complaint with Lawrenceburg Police officers on Monday after he discovered that some of his tools and paint had been stolen.

The man told police officers that he had been remodeling apartments on Manor Drive. He finished his work for the week on Friday, and stored his tools and paint in a bathroom closet on the second floor. He said he did not have a key to the apartment therefore the door had been left unlocked.

Monday morning, when the man returned to resume his work, he found that five gallons of paint had been stolen out of the closet along with other items. There were parts missing off of his paint sprayer. Also missing were construction lights, paint rollers and brushes, rolls of tape, a push broom, and extension cords that were fifty and one hundred feet in length. He said that his loss would total around $1,400.

If you have information about the case, you are asked to call the police department at 931-762-2276.
