Resident Arrested For Selling Drugs To Operative

A local woman is slated to appear in a Lawrenceburg courtroom in early June to answer charges that she sold drugs to a police department operative.

Lisa Gayle Wilkerson, 36, of 511 Third Street, Lawrenceburg is alleged to have sold drugs to a confidential informant who was acting on behalf of local drug agents.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that the buy was arranged through a confidential informant who reported Lortabs could be purchased from Wilkerson.

As a result, the informant arranged to go to Wilkerson’s home, reports say, to make the purchase.

Reports show that the informant was driven to Wilkerson’s home by a detective after having been issued money to make the buy along with a listening device to record the transaction.

Once the purchase was completed, the informant turned the drugs and recording over to the detective.

Wilkerson was booked on charges of sale of Schedule III narcotics and held under a bond of $5,000. She is scheduled to answer the charge in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on June 2, 2011.
