Wednesday Crime Report

Vandalism

A resident of Waterloo Road in West Point reported to deputies Monday that someone had vandalized his mailbox. Body parts had been spray painted on the mailbox as well as the old tractor on which it was mounted. A witness reported seeing a truck with bright pink headlights at the end of the driveway around the time the vandalism occurred. Damage was estimated to total $130.

Theft

Deputies were sent to a Mattoxtown Road home to investigate after the resident discovered that a cedar dog box had been stolen from his property. It had an estimated value of $500.

Burglary

A burglary was reported by the caretaker of an Idaho Road, Leoma home on Monday. While checking the residence the caretaker found the back door had been left open. Cabinet doors and drawers were left standing open, as well. The caretaker said she would notify the owner to determine whether anything was missing.

Vandalism

Police officers were dispatched to an Evergreen Street home to investigate after the resident found that someone had busted a window on his vehicle. The rear window of the Chevrolet Silverado had been shattered by some type of hard object, leaving around $400 in damages.
