Driver Crashes Into Police Car During Traffic Stop

   A Lawrenceburg Police Officer sustained only a slight injury when another driver crashed into his patrol unit during a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

   Officials report that Patrolman David Brown sustained only a minor cut to the head during the incident. He had reportedly pulled in front of a motorist who was driving erratically along U.S. Highway 43 north. Officials indicate that Brown was attempting to stop or slow the driver, when he was struck in the rear.

   Officials speculate that the driver of the vehicle, a resident of the Ethridge area, was suffering from a reaction related to diabetes. They do not anticipate that the driver will face any charges in connection with the incident.
