Officers Summoned In Wake Of Attack

   Lawrenceburg Police Officers were summoned to a local real estate office to initiate an investigation Monday evening after one agent allegedly assaulted another over a commission.

   According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department officers made their way to the real estate office around 6:30 p.m., where they spoke with the victim. He reported that a husband and wife agent-team who had formerly worked for him, currently owe him “thousands of dollars.”

   On Monday, the victim stated, the couple had received a large commission payment and that he, as former owner, “legally withheld some of that money to compensate himself.”

   The victim reported that he and the male agent argued and he had become angered. Shortly afterwards, he told officers, the wife “attacked him from behind, unprovoked.” He told officers that he refrained from retaliating.

   Officers noted that the victim had sustained “several significant scratches to the chest and neck.”

   The matter remains under investigation at the current time by detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
