Mom Indicted In Baby Murder Case

The mother of an infant allegedly murdered in late 2010 by her mom’s boyfriend, has been indicted on abuse/neglect charges.

Indictments were issued in March against Darion Deonte Stevenson, 21, of Lawrenceburg, charging him with domestic assault and second degree murder. Stevenson is charged in connection with the October 24, 2010 death of nine-month-old Alexxis Swaw Jacobs.

Stevenson was arrested on allegations that, while babysitting at his girlfriend’s Glenn Springs Road home, he rammed the infant’s head into a wall.

The incident allegedly occurred while Stevenson was attempting to quiet the child. She was later pronounced dead at Crockett Hospital.

Mother Jennifer Lindsey Swaw, 22, of 126 South Locust Avenue, was taken into custody Monday by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of aggravated child abuse and neglect.

She is scheduled for an initial appearance in Lawrence County Circuit Court on June, 6, 2011.
