Victim’s Debit Card Number Used To Make Purchases Online
A Lawrenceburg resident reported to law enforcement officers Monday that someone had fraudulently used her debit card number to make some online purchases.
Sheriff’s deputies spoke with the fifty-nine year old victim who reported that she had discovered three unauthorized purchases.
She said that her debit card information was used to make online purchases from SpyTerm.com, Online Evaluation, and PowerSpeed.com.
The victim told deputies that she had never made purchases from any of the sites. She said that she had contacted all three companies and that one told her the purchases were made by a woman in Massachusetts.
