Summertown Resident Alarmed By Harassing Call

    A Summertown resident summoned law enforcement officials to her home early Monday after she received an alarming call on her cell phone.

   The resident, age twenty, reported the incident around 7:45 a.m. through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. She told deputies that she had received a call, which placed her in fear, shortly before.

   According to the victim during the conversation the caller stated, “You’re next – Check your trunk – You’re next.”

   Deputies checked the young woman’s trunk and report there was nothing inside of consequence.

   The victim told officers that she thought the call might be related to an incident that had occurred previously at an area nursing home.

   The matter remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
