Lawrenceburg commission to consider light agenda Thursday      Members of the governing board of the City of Lawrenceburg face a fairly light agenda for their bi-monthly business meeting scheduled for Thursday morning.

The sole ordinance appearing on the agenda is:  An ordinance to make violation of Tennessee Code Annotated 55-12-139, a municipal ordinance of violation. The ordinance is expected to be brought up for second and final reading.

Two resolutions appear on the agenda. The first is one “to authorize Lawrenceburg Police Department employees Anthony Nugent and Judy Moore and City Administration Department employees Margaret Weathers and William McLain to have signatory authority for the Lawrenceburg Police Department Drug Operations Fund and the Lawrenceburg Police Department CID seized funds.”

The second resolution reads, “A resolution for the City of Lawrenceburg to accept a bid for a zero turn mower.”

In addition to these new items of business, commissioners have tabled a resolution regarding the installation of an emergency generator, awaiting the outcome of the bids process.

Also, two individuals are slated to address the board, including Mark Blackwood, EMA Director for Maury County, and William Cockrell who will address the board regarding a drainage problem.

The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled to get underway at 10:00 a.m. in the commission meeting room of the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
