Resident Reports Vehicles Again Vandalized At Her Home

A Waynesboro Highway resident reported to authorities that for a second time her vehicles had been vandalized outside of her home.

The victim, age 46, filed a complaint with Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday. She said that she had filed a similar complaint a few weeks prior.

The victim reported that someone had scratched the paint on three vehicles parked outside her home, including a 2003 Volvo, 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis, and a Pontiac Grand Am. Damages were estimated to total $4,500.

The victim explained that they had been experiencing engine trouble with all three vehicles and believed that a substance might have been put into the gas tanks. She said that they had a mechanic check the vehicles and that he determined “there was something wrong with the gas.”

Investigation in the case is on-going.
