Local Arrested As California Fugitive

Police officers nabbed a local man Wednesday who had been sought as a fugitive of justice by the state of California.

Russell Louis Miller, 25, of 103 Jackson Street, was apprehended for being a fugitive from justice regarding a parole violation, and held at the Lawrence County Detention Center pending extradition.

Lawrenceburg Police Officers had received word that Miller could be a passenger in a green Ford Explorer in the area. Officers checked at homes on South Locust Avenue and Gallaher Boulevard, but to no avail.

Shortly afterwards they were able to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. Reports show that Miller was not inside at the time, and that all of the vehicle occupants denied having information regarding his whereabouts.

Another tip led officers to Miller’s Jackson Street home, however officers report no one would come to the door.

Officers set up surveillance and soon noted that a male and female exited through the rear of the house, walking the short distance to the basketball courts at Rotary Park.

Officers were able to take the pair into custody. They report that the female, Felicia Dawn Fouraker, 23, of 317 Thomas Street, had been a passenger in the Ford Explorer they had stopped previously.

They note that she denied having any knowledge regarding Miller’s whereabouts, thus hindering arrest efforts.

Both were transported to the jail where Miller was booked under the fugitive of justice charge. Officers informed Fouraker that they had information indicating she had drugs on her person. She at first denied the allegation, they said.

During a search they report she handed over a plastic bag containing a bag of meth and two bags of an unidentified blue substance, along with a meth pipe that she had concealed in her vaginal cavity.

Fouraker was booked under charges of accessory after the fact, possession of Schedule II narcotics (meth), and having drugs in a drug free/school zone. She was held on a bond of $27,000 to await a June 3 appearance in General Sessions Court.
