City Announces Paving Projects

Springer Road, the most traveled street in Lawrenceburg, will be the biggest paving project for the Street Department this season.  The road requires grinding and then resurfacing.

The road will also be widened at the intersection of Springer and Weakley Creek Road to allow a turn lane.  The traffic signals at Springer Road and Weakley Creek; Springer and Highway 64 will have a traffic camera installed to allow for more cohesive traffic control.

The work on Springer Road will begin after school lets out for the summer and will be done in sections.  The public will be notified when work begins with details concerning what section will be closed.

There are several other streets scheduled for resurfacing:

  1. Admiral Circle
  2. Business Avenue
  3. Guard Drive
  4. 1st Street from Springer to First Avenue
  5. 2nd; 3rd; 4th; 5th and 6th Streets will be resurfaced from First Avenue to Third Avenue

Citizens will be notified should the work require the closing of any street.
